Canara Bank, Dept. of Culture, Telangana Govt. in association with Surmandal presents Triveni three-day Music & Dance Festival Swara Yatra from 5 – 7th January 2024, in the memory of legend Late Mohan Hemmadi, an ardent Music lover and organiser, at Lalitha Kala Toranam, Public Garden, from 6.30pm onwards.
The event will get off to a rousing start by Lighting of the Lamp at 6.30pm, followed by a Sitar and Santoor recital by Katkuri Sisters – Kum Shruti on Sitar and Kum. Shreeja on Santoor, accompanied by Vijay Kumar Panchal on Tabla. Percussion Melody by Pandit Yogesh Samsiji on Tabla, Ustad Taufiq on Djembe and Vidwan Satish Kumar Patri on Mridangam, Shri Tanmay Deochake on Harmonium at 7.30pm.
On the Second day, 6th January, 2024, the evening will begin with a Vocal recital by Sniti Mishra accompanied by Ajeet Pathak on Tabla and Rahul Deshpande on Harmonium at 6.30pm. This will be followed by Sitar Recital by Pandit Shubendra Rao, a senior disciple of Late Pandit Ravi Shankar ji, accompanied by Pandit Yogesh Samsiji on Tabla from 8pm onwards.
On the third day, the evening will begin with a Carnatic Vocal Performance by Master Aditya, (a special child with Neuro Development disorder (Autism) who excels in Carnatic Vocal) at 6.30pm. This will be followed by a Sarod recital by Pandit Partho Sarothi Choudhary, a senior disciple of Late Pandit Ravi Shankar ji, accompanied by Pandit Yogesh Samsi ji on Tabla at 7.15 pm. The finale is a Kathak performance by Pandit Rajendra Gangani accompanied by Pandit Fateh Singh Gangani on Tabla and Shivkrishna Swaroop on Violin, and Samiullah Khan on the Vocals at 8.30pm. The curtains will come down on the three-day festival with a Vote of thanks at 9.30pm.
