Come October and there is festival fervour in India. Every state has its own festivals, but all of them with one message of ‘Victory over Evil’. Shilparamam Arts Crafts & Cultural Society is ready to herald the cultural festival of Bathukamma and Dasara. To coincide with the festival, Shilparamam has organised ‘All India Saree Mela’ and cultural evening from October 13 to 25.
Eminent artists and K Kavitha along with many others will play Bathukamma, The Bathukamma event will be held every evening by women employees in the main lawn, even enthusiasts can also participate in Bathukamma.
Every evening, Indian classical dance ballets such as Navadurga, Devi Vaibhavam, Mahishasuramardini, are special attraction. Special Officer Shilparamam, Shri G Kishan Rao said that women should participate in large numbers and make Bathukamma Dussehra celebrations a grand success. The entire Shilparamam has been decorated with electric lamps and Bathukamma songs reverberate in Shilparamam, as visitors soak in the festive experience.
Handloom artists have brought in their wares like Kota, Kora, Tussar, Banaras, Chikenkari, Kashmiri, Madanapalli, Uppada, Mangalagiri, Madhubani painted sarees, Kantha work, embroidery sarees, dress materials, chunis etc. There are lot of attractions for everyone in the 70 stalls that have been set up.
