Vyshnavie’s performances are an elegant amalgam of rigor and artistic elegance with a focus on continuous innovation. She is a unique dancer performing five styles of dances at a professional level namely – Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kalaripayattu and Contemporary Dance forms. The multi dancer has performed a jugalbandi along with Kathak legend Pandit Birju Maharaj and Sashwathi Sen at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival (USA) 2019.
She has performed a classical dance in the French documentary film by French director Bernard Bloch. Also, she portrayed the role of goddess Padmavati in the telefilm ‘Amukthamalya’ produced by Tirumala-Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) channel. Vyshnavie’s performances have also focused on social themes and her efforts are to educate the audiences on these issue through the medium of art. Through her dance, she has highlighted issues like AIDS, Women Empowerment, Environmental Awareness, Organ Donation, Khadi and Clean Ganga.
With performances across many national and international stages, Vyshnavie had the honour of performing at Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu’s residence, which was attended by an array of Central ministers and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who applauded her unique dance presentation.
On the educational front, Vyshnavie is a Post Graduate (D) in Human Resource and Diploma Holder in Theatre Arts with Masters in Bharatanatyam, course in Movement Arts and Mixed Media from Attakalari, Bangalore. As an Indian dancer, she underwent an intensive camp for classical contemporary dance by Martha Graham School in New York. In her quest to give her art and dance school a global reach, Vyshnavie pursued a Management course from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. (doctorate) in Dance.
Vyshnavie honed her skills in Bharatanatyam under her mother Guru Rajeswari Sainath, in Kuchipudi – Guru Vedatam Satya Narasimha Sastry, Odissi – Guru Shri Durga Charan Ranbir – Bhubaneswar, Kalaripayattu- Vallabhatta School of Kalari in Chavakkad –Kerala. She is also trained in art of Simhanandini, – the drawing of the picture of a lion through her feet
She runs her institution Vyshnavie Natya Centre in Hyderabad wherein, students ranging from age 5-65 undergo training in Bharatanatyam and Kalaripayattu. She also conducts lec-dems at educational institutions and corporates.
Media Houses have conferred her with the Jashn-e-Youngistan, Best Artist and ‘Youth icon of Andhra Pradesh to name a few. Vyshnavie is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and a Grade “A” artist of Doordarshan.
