An accomplished dancer in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Kalavantulu Nrityam (Devadasi Dance), Aalekhya Prabha Mangalampalli, loves to perform at ancient temples and Taramati Baradari. She is also on the lookout for good venues to explore and collaborate. Her vote is for live performances.
As a child, she initially began her dance classes in Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Avancha Anuradha, and moved to Kuchipudi and Kalavantulu Nrityam learning under Guru Yashoda Thakore. Aalekhya also trained in Devadasi dance under gurus, Sangeet Natak Academy Awardees -2018 Annabhattula Mangatayaru and Annabhattula Leela Sai.
She has performed with her Guru Yashoda Thakore across the country and at Fiji Islands at an MEA Event for GOI. Back-to-back in 2017 and 2018, Aalekhya performed with her Guru in the Naada Neerajanam programme hosted by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel. The young dancer though has not set up any dance school of her own, teaches her art to youngsters at her home.
Aalekhya came out with flying colours in her Certificate and Diploma courses in Bharatanatyam from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad and Masters in Kuchipudi from University of Silicon Andhra.
