
Bharata Rangasthali Academy of Fine Arts, Hyderabad presented Vishishta Kuchipudi Natya Hela, an evening to remember, at Sri Taygraja Gana Sabha, Chikkadpally, on August 28. The highlight of the evening was Bhamakalapam and Ramappa Smruthi Geeta Nartanam by Koka Vijayalakshmi on the occasion of UNESCO recognition. The Ramappa Smruthi by the danseuse was well appreciated by the audience and the distinguished guests.
The Bhamakalapama brought together three dancers – Koka Vijayalakshmi, G Ravi and Dr. Perini Raviteja. All of them displayed their expertise and finesse in the dance ballet. Dancers Amrutha Varshini, Dhathri and Deepika Spoorthy presented Kuchipudi items – Vinayaka Koutham, Pooja Nrityam among others.
The distinguished guests for the evening included B Venkatesan, IAS, Principal Secretary, BC welfare Dept., Govt. of Telangana, Dr. Ramaraju Srinivasa Rao, Chairman, Ramaraju Foundation, Lanka Lakshmi Narayana, President, Yuva Kalavahini, N Srinivasa Reddy, CMD, NS Estates, Dr. Sanganabhatla Narasaiah, President, Bharata Rangasthali and Gudibandi Venkata Reddy, GVR Aradhana Cultural Foundation.
