On the occasion of Swarna Bandhana Maha Kumbhabishekam of Skandagiri Devalayam, Secunderabad, eminent guru Bhargavi Parameswaran along with her daughter Kum. Sreya Masilamanian rendered a beautiful Bharatanatyam recital mid-week. The mother-daughter duo performed Mallari, Lingashtakam, Varnam, Keertana and the evergreen ‘Maitreem bhajata’ of Shri Kanchi Paramacharya. All the pieces presented by the duo were choreographed and vocally rendered by guru Smt. Smitha Madhav.
Bhargavi heads the Hyderabad branch of Varna Arts Academy, while Sreya is a student of the same academy and learns Bharatanatyam under the founder of Varna Arts Academy and Bharatanatyam dancer and Guru Smitha Madhav.
Bhargavi and Sreya hail from a family that has been devoted to the service of this temple for many decades.
