Another student of Shree Narayani Natyalaya and Guru Santhosh Kumar Thamang, Michelle Jose presented her Arangetam at the Shilpakala Vedika on 30 April 2022. She made an impressive debut while presenting a traditional Bharatanatyam Maargam which was well received by the rasikas. For the evening’s programme, Michelle presented Puspanjali, Alarippu, Jathiswaram, Shabdham, Pada Varnam, Shiva Stuthi, Nattanam Adinar, Bhajan, Thillana and ended with Mangalam.
Guru Santhosh Kumar said that Michelle was in Class I when she started training under him and today when she made her Arangetram debut she is in Class X. “She has had nine years of training under me,” he said.
The music ensemble composed of Guru Santhosh Kumar Thamang on Nattuvangam, Jaya Kumar Bharadwaja on Vocal, Srinivas Karra on Mrudangam, Venkateshwarulu on Flute, Sudhakar on Veena, Ravi on Ghatam.
