Uttaran Bangiya Samiti and Shilparamam Madhapur jointly organized the celebration of Bengali New Year “Poila Boishak” with great grandeur. Women were dressed in Bengali traditional clothes. A stall was set up for handicrafts. Bengali traditional clothing, sarees, jewellery, paintings etc. for visitors. Bengali traditional dances, songs and music based on the lyrics of Rabindranath Tagore were enjoyed by the audiences present.
Iconic dishes such as Roll (Bengali version of Frankie), Shondesh (Sweetmeat) and Bengali street, fried food stalls were set up on the occasion. A large number of Bengali families living in Hyderabad visited the place and enjoyed the deliciacies.
