Dr. Srishti Budhori, MD, a physician and a passionate dancer has been under the aegis of Bharatanatyam stalwarts Late Guru Sri VS Ramamoorthy and Smt. Manjula Ramaswamy since the tender age of four and till date has given over 2500 solo and group performances in India, USA and the Philippines.
An A graded artist of Doordarshan, SPICMACAY empanelled artist and CCRT scholarship holder, she has secured distinction in Diploma in Bharatanatyam from Potti Sree Ramulu Telugu University and Visharad Poorna from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, India. Recipient of various prestigious awards such as Natya Mouktika (Abhinetri Arts Academy, Hyderabad), Nritya Charushila Nritya Prativa Puraskar (Jayadeva Samaroh, India), Bhartiya Nritya Tilakam (National Cultural Mission, Bhubaneswar) to name a few, she is also a holder of the Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records, World Book of Records, Asia Book of Records for her hour-long performance on inverted mud pots, ”Deepa Tarangini”, along with 50 other students of Sri Rama Nataka Niketan in 2010.
She has also authored a book on the Indian Classical art forms called ‘Nritya Maargdarshika, an insight into the World of Indian Classical Arts in 2015. She has tremendous support from her family and blessings from her gurus and wants to be known as the “Doctor Who Dances Her Way To People’s Hearts”.
