Kuchipudi dancer and founder of Sri Durga Sai Nruthyaniketan, Kothegudem, Sita Lakshmi Prasad speaking to Natyahasini, says that she is very happy and proud that students trained by her are representing the Telangana State and the Kuchipudi dance form in the Republic Day Parade 2022.
She says that their journey started from Kothagudem and culminated at New Delhi when team SDSN was among the five teams that won in the Grand Finale of “Vandebharatam Nrityotsav” conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Defence, GOI. and bagged an opportunity to perform at the Republic Day Parade 2022. Sita Lakshmi Prasad also thanked Harikrishna Mamidi, Director, Dept. of Language and Culture for supporting the team all along. She said that she it was a proud moment for her and her team SDSN.
The SDSN founder shares that Union Minister For Culture, Tourism And Development Of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Sri Kishan Reddy had tweeted on the SDSN performance: “Exemplary display of Kuchipudi dance by talented artists of Sri Durga Sai Nrithya Niketan from Telangana at the national finale of VandeBharatam at the JN Stadium, New Delhi.” She says that it was a happy moment for them.
