Srinivas Goud, Minister for Tourism & Culture, Sports &Youth Services, Archaeology and Government of Telangana, inaugurated the 27th All India Crafts Mela at Shilparamam Madhapur on 15 December 2021. The main attraction of the Crafts Mela are National Awardees, Santh Kabeer and Shilpa Guru, who have set up special stalls in the Mela. Development Commissioner Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles and National Jute Board are sponsoring the national awardees.
The dignitaries visited every stall and interacted with the artists and viewed the handloom handicraft products. Even the Telangana state government is promoting handloom craftsmen and encouraging more Melas to sell their products at different places.
The minister also inaugurated the cultural programmes by lighting the lamp at Shilparamam. Adilabad district folk dance Gussadi and Nishrinkala Dance Academy guru Smt. Sandhya Raju’s disciples impressed the audience with their dance.
Also, present on the occasion were Special Officer, Kishan Rao, General Manager Anjaiah, Shilparamam Staff and Artists. The Crafts Mela will end on 31 December 2021.
