On the occasion of the Ramlalla’s consecration ceremony at Ayodhya, on 22 January 2024, Swara Raga, a music academy based out of Hyderabad under the aegis of K Veenadhari, a Carnatic Vocalist and Mridangam player, along with her disciples belted out Ram bhajans by different composers at the residence of Smt. Subha Lalitha S and Sri Venkata Rajeswara Rao S at SVS Sadan, Manikonda.
Speaking to Natyahasini, K Veenadhari, Guru and General Secretary of Swara Raga, shared that this was a monthly concert organised to be a part of the great event at Ayodhya. “The concert began with Sri Vighnarajam Bhaje and group singing and followed by solos by disciples. We sang bhajans on Lord Ram by various composers. Some of the compositions are: – Dasaratha Nandana, Rama Rama Nivaramu, Adigo Bhadradri Gowthami, Varaleelan Ganalola, Vandanamu Raghunandana, Madhava Keshava, Nagunomu Galavani, Ksheerabadhi, Ramachandraaya Janaka … among many others,” she says.
Veenadhari adds that Srinivas Salandra, based out of the US, president of the Swara Raga is the brain behind the programmes. “We jointly seek the blessings of Lord Ram and guidance for all our future endeavours,” the Carnatic vocalist says.
