After juggling between her passion as a dancer and techie at various MNCs, including the Bank of America and Motorola for over a decade, Kuchipudi dancer Jyothi Reddy gave up the life of a techie to follow her dream job of performing and teaching. Learning the art form from stalwarts in Kuchipudi, the Delhi-based dancing couple Radha Reddy and Raja Reddy, Jyothi performs and teaches the art form through her school Jyothi Kalakshetram, School of Arts, Hyderabad.
Armed with a Master of Computer Applications degree from Sri Padmavathi Mahila University, Tirupati, Jyothi Reddy, teaches the art form to over 200 students free of charge in her native village in Nagalapuram. Jumping full-fledged into dance a couple of years ago, Jyoti has performed at various events like SVBC Naada Neerajanam (Tirupati, TTD), TTD Annamacharya project, Indian Road Congress (IRC), National dance festivals, and across the city at many events.
Jyothi feels that the Government should give more support to all upcoming artists by giving a platform to perform with remunerations to save Art and Culture.
