Sharath Kumar Erroju was initiated into and trained in Kuchipudi Dance by Gurus Padma Bhushan Raja Radha Reddy, Kousalya Reddy and Yamini Reddy of Natya Tarangini Institute. He learnt advanced techniques of Kuchipudi from Guru Yamini Reddy. He also obtained Master of Performing Arts in Kuchipudi Dance in 2017 from University of Hyderabad under the tutelage of Guru Anuradha Jonnalagadda.
With over 10 years’ experience in dance, Sharath is presently teaching at Natya Tarangini Music and Dance Institute, Hyderabad. Apart from holding a degree in Physio Therapy, Sharath’s passion is dance and he is motivated to explore and experiment with Kuchipudi. He has attended various workshops of dance styles like Odissi with Guru Ileana Citaristi, Chhau Dance – Guru Shashadharacharya, Bharatanatyam – Shri CV Chandra Sekhar, worked with Dr. Alekya Punjala (Principal of Kuchipudi) at Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University and Talam workshop – mridangist Rajagopala Chary at Natya Tarangini institute.
Among notable performances, Sharath is lucky to share the stage with Gurus Radha Raja Reddy and Yamini Reddy in the ‘Bhagavathaajukeeyam’ ballet. He also participated in ‘Bhamakalapam’ by Bhavan Reddy and ‘Annamayya’ ballet at Padmavati Auditorium Tirupati. At the Women Empowerment Convention, he performed with Miss World Manushi Chillar.
